ReCAST Robeson Project

ReCAST Robeson is a project recently funded by SAMHSA to promote resilience, trauma-informed approaches, and equity in the impoverished, rural, underserved and ethnically diverse community of Robeson County. ReCAST Robeson is facilitated by the NC Youth Violence Prevention Center with ROAR serving as a major partner in implementation of the project goals.

Over the next few years, we will work collaboratively to enhance and expand our Community Coalition called ROAR, Robeson Overcoming Adversity Through Resilience, Train Community Stakeholders in Community Resiliency and Mental Health Literacy, Establish Coping Centers, Sponsor training fellowships, and expand access to behavioral health therapy.

ReCAST Robeson’s current major projects are our Community Needs Assessment and the 2024 Small Grants Initiative

Community Needs Assessment

The purpose of ReCAST Robeson is to promote resilience, trauma-informed approaches, and equity in Robeson County, NC; and assist high-risk youth and families using evidence-based violence prevention, and community youth engagement programs.

With funding from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the R.O.A.R. Coalition is partnering with NC Youth Violence Prevention Center to assess our communities current needs and gaps in services as related to at-risk youth and community resilience.

The survey will only take a few minutes to complete and it will assist in helping people, meeting the community needs, and providing hope.

All information will be kept confidential and your name is not required.

Thank you for your time!
